Former President Halûk Alatan passed away
Halûk Alatan passed away on 13 November 2013, at the age of 81.
Halûk was an ISOCARP member for more than forty years. In the eighties he served the society as member of the Executive Committee. From 1993 to 1996 Halûk was President of ISOCARP. We are very grateful to Halûk for all he has done for the society.
He genuinely loved his profession and was dedicated to it all his life. His son Taner wrote us that ISOCARP meant a lot to him and that he considered its members as family.
In 2005 Halûk attended his last congress in Bilbao, together with his son. His knowledge and wisdom, but also his friendly character, humor and charm will be remembered by all of us.
